Well I wouldn’t go quite that far but here is what I’ve noticed so far after using it for a couple of weeks:
- It hasn’t crashed yet (fingers crossed on that front)
- I actually like the task bar although I haven’t started making full use of the cool pinning features
- There aren’t any awful security prompts every 5 seconds
- It seems a lot faster although Vista wasn’t bad on this Lenovo ThinkPad
- You have to uninstall OneCare which is not supported on Win 7 – no big loss there, I’m trying BitDefender instead
- No more sidebar, you can put your gadgets anywhere you like (mine are still residing on the RHS though)
- The calculator is now nothing less than sexy and has a stats feature too although not sure why you wouldn’t just use Excel

Loving Windows 7?
And whatever you’ve heard about Microsoft borrowing from Mac in articles like this one the claims are strongly refuted and one has to wonder if Simon Aldous received a slapped wrist after the media exposure or a bonus!
Interesting to know if anyone has any Win VII horror stories or otherwise and watch out for Office 2010 which I just received the Beta version for

Thank you so much for making this available.
